The Apprentiship and Campus Selections

The great advantage that the students of this college have compared to any other Diploma college and I dare say many Engineering colleges in state, is the Apprentiship program and the Campus selection criterion.

The students will have their academics for 3 years and go to any industry for 6 months Apprentiship program and mostly they get absorbed in that industry. Staff at GIOE

The GIOE Staff that I admire most:

Swaroopa Madam:
She taught many subjects From 3rd sem to 5th Sem to our Batch. She was so dedicated and caring that we can never forget her teaching.

Ratna Kumari Madam:
She did not teach any subject to us, but she was responsible for our Campus selections and she is the most dedicated staff member of the college.

Tilak Sir:
He taught us Basic Electric Engineering in First year, and we can never forget his classes and how much we used to hurry in busses to attend his class on time, because he did not allow late comers to class.

Srinivasa Rao Sir:
He taught us Chemistry in First Year, and he was the most caring personality of the college. While we were in the college he passed away in an accident.

There are many other staff members who moulded our lives and many others'.

Best Friends at GIOE

I got great asset of my life during my days at GIOE, my two best friends.
Murty and Javeed.
These two have been my support and my strength for around 10 years now.
Although we work in completely different streams (Javeed works in Networking, Murty in DSP and myself in VLSI), we share somuch in common.
We have been meeting atleast once in a year (this is about meetings which have all three present, meetings of two persons happen very often).
We do communicate very often. I dont find much to tell them but just spend time asking "what else" in the phone or hearing the news that they tell.

Murty:
He works in a Hyderabad branch of US based company.
He travels very often to Canada, China now a days and got US visa too.

Javeed:
He works in a US company in on site networking Support.
